The graffiti contest will gather 12 teams consisting of maximum 5 writers (participation is by invitation only). There will be 3 evaluation criteria upon following points:

• originality: crews point of view upon the given theme
• style: crews power to stand out with artistic style (complexity, characters, colors, effects, shades, etc.)
• performance: the time given, each crew will be checked from time to time to check progress (time to do paper-sketch and put onto wall, etc.).

Prize: 5000 EUR – cash

Concept painting – Murals

Each crew will have to perform a piece together within 22 hours under the following conditions: same colours (50 types of colours Montana Black 400ml), same topic (provided by the judges few minutes before the competition starts, same time: 22 hours for everybody to perform). The 22 hours will be divided on 3 days, as it follows:

• 1st day: at 12:00 all crews must be present at the event for receiving the topic of the mural competition. this day will end at 06:00 pm as all crews will have to stop painting and continue the next day
• 2nd day: starts at 11:00am and ends at 6:00pm. as the day before, the painting will continue on the 3rd day.
• 3rd day: starts at 11:00am and ends at 6:00pm. after 6:00pm, within 1hr time, the winners will be announced.

Freestyle throw ups

During the 2nd day, at 2:00pm, one member of each crew performs a throw up under the following conditions: same colors (2 types of Montana Black 400ml or Montana Gold 400ml) which can be either black and chrome, or 2 colours that the jury will decide; same word (provided by the organizing crew a few seconds before the competition starts, same time: 90 seconds to perform for everybody).

Freestyle hand-styles – Tags

During the 2nd day, at 4:00pm, one member of each crew performs a tag under the following conditions: one Montana marker (Montana BOMBING Marker, 20 mm T-tip), same word (provided by the organizing crew a few seconds before the competition starts, same time: 300 seconds to perform for everybody), on canvas.

Freestyle sketching

During the 3rd day, one member of each crew performs a sketch under the following conditions: same markers (24 type of COPIC sketch and TOUCH markers, also spray-paint allowed to use), same word (provided by the judges few seconds before the competition starts, same time: 120 minutes for everybody), ON CANVAS ,canvas size: 20cm x 30 cm. the minimum covering of the sketch to taken into consideration is 70% of the total surface of the canvas.

What do these cities have in common? Everywhere in these cities the new snowboard documentary production “From ROMANIA with LOVE” from Blickinsfreie celebrated an unique premiere.

The cinemas were extremely well filled, the after parties became classics and most bars had trouble providing enough drinks for the party crowd.

With the experience of how snowboarding looks like in Romania most people went home with smile on their faces excited to feel their feed on the board again.

The question if the premiere tour was a success has been answered by producer René Eckert with a smile on his face: “I guess the pictures of the tour should answers that question good enough.” (you can see some pictures from the movie premiere on our site).

This January the whole movie will be released on blickinsfreie.de as High Definition – download which we are all looking forward to. We will inform you as soon as the movie is ready to hit your computers at home. Stay tuned.

Andy Fazekas a young student from Sibiu in Romania could probably never imagine that a present what he got from his German relatives in 1984 would have such a big impact on the youth in communistic Romania. A short time later he was appointed from the former communistic general secretary of Romania, Nicolae Ceausescu, to present the sport snowboarding during a big winter event to the whole nation. With the years a passionate scene developed in the Transylvanian mountain region in Romania. They dedicated their whole attention to develop that new sport in their way in the whole country. Self-made snowboards due to the bad economic situation most people have been into, problems with resorts, missing snowparks and the general unacceptance towards the sport have been the scene´s daily routine. But still no one got discouraged and tried to achieve and live his dream of snowboarding.

The documentary “From ROMANIA with LOVE” tells the story of a road trip through the Romanian freestyle snowboard scene. With professional snowboarders from countries like Slovakia, France, Poland or Hungary they met up with locals and professional riders from Romania to discover the Carpathian mountain region. Interesting interviews about the development of sport and scene but also problems young romanian riders have to deal with are completed with the most progressive eastern European freestyle snowboarding. The project connects young people from 6 different countries by one passion.

After projects in Poland (2007) and Slovakia (2008) “From ROMANIA with LOVE” is the third episode out of the eastern European snowboard documentaries produced by BLICKINSFREIE. Producer René Eckert grown up in a former communistic country himself shares also his passion of snowboarding with these projects. His aim is to bring young snowboard professionals from eastern Europe together for projects like this which enables them to get noticed in the media outside the country but also realized by potential international sponsors. He is trying to help them realizing their dream of becoming a professional snowboarder.

Evenimentul are loc pe 2 august 2008, ora 15:00, in Skatepark din Herastrau.

Grafferii stiu deja: concurs de graffiti avand acelasi concept ca un concurs mare! Vor exista 9 echipe a cate 3 pana la 10 grafferi. Fiecare echipa va avea la dispozitie intre 8 si 10 ore si un panou lung de 15 m si inaltime de 2 metri pentru indeplinirea proiectelor.

Vor exista 4 mari sectiuni de concurs:

• Concept Painting – 10 ore
• Action Throw Ups – 90 de secunde
• Sketching – 1 ora
• Tagging – 1 minut

Se vor pune pe masa de concurs premii considerabile in bani si produse.

Ce e foarte important, au dat drumul la inscrieri. Pentru selectia echipelor care vor intra in concurs trimiteti pe contact@h2o.ro cele mai relevante dovezi ale talentului vostru (taguri, schite). Incepand de luni (21 iulie) pana vineri (25 iulie ora 20:00) lista ramane deschisa.

Imediat ce le centralizeaza si le jurizeaza, luni 28 iulie ii vor anunta pe cei care au intrat in concurs.
